[What's Yayoi doing today? Currently she's unaware that her journal is filming this as she transforms off-screen. It's showing her bedroom as she's giggling to herself. Its experiment time!

Something had made her wonder about the doujins that she had read recently, how magical girls who transform could remove their uniforms. So, standing in front of the mirror as Cure Peace, she started to disrobe.

Or at least tried to. It was like everything was superglued on and she wrestled with her outfit for several minutes.]

Gah! Okay, lets try this then!

[Hopping on one foot, she tried to peel her boot off with no success.] C'mon, c'mon!

[After that she tried removing her top. And then her skirt. No dice. She even tried removing her hair accessories and letting her hair down. With a frustrated groan, she flopped backwards onto the bed.]

I give, I give! Clearly this is body-armor. Not clothing. No matter how nice of a uniform it feels.

[Breathing heavily, Cure Peace is just going to pout as she gathers a pillow in her hands.] Not fair. I was hoping I was able to remove my outfit so I could stealth around as Cure Peace, and not Yayoi...

It may not look like it, but it's meant to protect you. That's why you can fight like you do without getting too hurt.

That's true. It really does seem to be able to protect us really well too.

Otherwise it would be nearly impossible to fight as a Precure. Super strength can only carry you so much.

Yeah. I guess I should be thankful that it can't be removed so easily then.

Indeed. I do have to wonder why the outfits look as they do. Not that there's anything wrong with them at all, but they're... interesting, seeing as they are the clothes for legendary warriors.

Each team is different right? I just have to wonder how many worlds have stories of legendary warriors going on.

I do wonder about that. I used to think the Precure who defend the Heart Tree were the only ones, but it seems each team has an entirely different history.

Even if we don't have much to go by, it's apparent there were previous if we've got the moniker of legendary warrior.

Yes, that's true. It would be nice to know more, though. I know about the Precure that protected the Heart Tree before me and the name of the first Precure who protected it, but not much other than that.

It's kind of like we spring out of nowhere really!

It does seem like that, doesn't it? What do you know about the history of your team?

[pikapikapikarin]

Well apparently we're the legendary warriors chosen by Marchenland, the land of picture books. There's a book about us that hasn't been filled yet, and Pop said that there'll be a time when it's completely filled, like any other storybook.

That's very interesting... so if you're legendary warriors and a book is being filled out about you, does that mean that there are books for previous Precure as well?

Ah, I really don't know a lot about the other teams. I'm a bit curious about this Marchenland you mentioned, but first I have to ask who this Pop is. Is he a fairy?

Hmm you know? I never thought about that! I'd think we'd have to visit Marchenland to check it out though, or ask Pop first.

Pop's a fairy. He's a cool lion fairy, and Candy's like a lamb. Although he gets really embarrassed if you call him cool! He insists he's a manly man too.

I'd definitely be interested in whatever you can find. Marchenland is what you defend then, I take it?

A lion fairy, hm? [Yuri's... not sure what the Heartcatch fairies are supposed to be, actually.] That certainly sounds impressive. I'm having difficulty imagining any fairy as a manly man, though.

That's where apparently our power comes from. The Royal Queen's power was sundered in the fight against Pierrot and we use her Cure Decor in our battles.

[Considering they're kind of rabbit-like but not... well...] I think I have a drawing of him. Hold on a moment!

[Yayoi digs into her drawings and holds up a picture of Pop standing atop a rock in the middle of a crashing ocean, dressed in a old Kyoto-style hakama with a sword with lightning flashing in the background.]

This is Pop. Or at least what he imagines himself when he proclaims "A manly man is not cute!"

What's the Cure Decor, then? Is that what you use to transform, or something else?

[Yuri chuckles when she sees the drawing] I do have to say that he's kind of cute. Just don't let him know I said that.

The Cure Decor are little items, fragments of the Queen's power made into something. Miyuki keeps most of them in the Decor Decor but we also have our Precure Decor which allows us to transform when placed into the Smile Pact.

Heheh I won't, but he's both cool and cute at the same time!

I see. That's kind of comparable to Heart Seeds. They're what you get when you purify a Desertrian and each one heals the Heart Tree a little more. They each have special properties as well.

He is. [Yuri's smile gets a bit more sad and the next part is spoken in a very quiet whisper] He reminds me a bit of someone...

Yeah, the Cure Decor were obtained by the Bad End Kingdom and turned into Noses, which are used to make Akanbe. So it's no surprise that we get one when we purify them.

Well, except for Blue Noses. Apparently they're weaker than a normal Akanbe but they're immune to our baseline attacks.

... Yuri? [Fortunately, Yayoi hadn't stopped to watch Heartcatch or she'd know what Yuri was talking about.]

That's different from here. All Desertrians are the same type. The only thing that can influence their power is what object was used to make one. Is an Akanbe made by fusing one of those Noses together with an object as well?

[Yuri startles for a moment. She hadn't realized she was speaking out loud.] It's... it's nothing.

Yes it was. The first Akanbe I faced was when Aka Oni fused my drawing with a Red Nose. So far, there's two types of noses we've faced; Red which have Cure Decor, and Blue which are weaker but like I said, are immune to anything less than a Rainbow Healing attack.

Ah, okay...

I see. That's a complex system. Fusing objects to the monster is the same, but Desertrians aren't made from Noses or anything like that. Rather, the Heart Flowers of people are used.

Sorry, it's just... I was reminded about someo... something from the past. It's nothing important, really.

I think it's mostly the way that the opponents escalate the fight to be honest. When we proved to be able to take out Red Noses in one hit, they came out with Blue. In response, we developed Rainbow Healing. Etc.
