RL w/Yuri

Yayoi was excited. She was going to spend time with one of her friends from the community for what was the first time in a while. And she skipped through the portal, preparing to make the jump to Yuri's world. Or time. Or something at least.

With a glow, she stepped through the book portal, ready to go.

I'm glad to hear it. Most people just think he's weird.

[Thank goodness for that. Yuri isn't up for explaining how fairies work in her world/time/whatever.]

Do you want anything to drink? There's tea, or juice if you prefer that.

Mmm, no, he can't be weird. He's really cool!

Sure, I'd love to have some tea with you, if that's all right.

I guess people think it's strange to have something like him in a botanical garden, or something. But I also think he's cool.

Alright, I'll go make some, then. [Yuri gestures for Yayoi to follow her and leads her to a table further into the garden.] We can sit here. What type of tea do you like?

I think more things need mascots in general. [She follows Yuri over and sits down, smoothing out her skirt.]

Orange tea is one of my favorites.

Maybe so.

Orange tea... right, that should be here. Just a moment.

[Yuri goes to make the tea. It doesn't take long at all, fortunately and there's even some daifuku left. Yuri brings a plate over to the table, with a teapot, two teacups, some sugar and milk and a small plate of mame daifuku.

She fills one of the cups with tea and hands it to Yayoi.]

Here you go.

Ah thank you! [Taking a sip, Yayoi seemed to sparkle as she smiled.] It's so good! Tea with friends is always the best thing!

It is.

[Yuri smiles as well, though it's a bit wistful.]

I used to come here almost every day... I just can't find the time anymore, I guess. So it's nice being here like this.

[pikapikapikarin]

It is a beautiful place. I can see why you'd want to spend time here.

[Yayoi sips her tea.] It's very calming to say the least.

Yes, it is very calming. It's why I make sure to come here every so often, even if I'm busy.

[Yuri sips as well.] It's been a long time since I've been here with someone else, though.

[pikapikapikarin]

Well maybe we can do this more often? It would be nice to be honest to spend more time with each other.

[fightbymoonlight]

That sounds like a nice idea. I'd like that. Next time you need to show me around your town, then.

[pikapikapikarin]

Of course! I can show you everything there!

[fightbymoonlight]

I look forward to it.

[Yuri takes another sip.] Once we're done here, is there anywhere else you want to go, or should we just save it for the next time you're here?

[pikapikapikarin]

Hmm, maybe you could show me around town then? Give me a small tour before we head back?

[fightbymoonlight]

That should be fine.

[Yuri finishes her tea and patiently waits for Yayoi to finish hers.]

[pikapikapikarin]

Okay I'm ready to go!

[fightbymoonlight]

Hm, alright, just give me a moment to clean up. [Yuri picks up the teaset and puts everything back where it should be, then returns.]

Let's go.

[pikapikapikarin]

Okay! [Getting up, she bowed to Coupe-sama.] Have a good day Coupe-sama!

[And with that, she fell in step with Yuri, smiling widely.]

[And so the two set off on their quest started their walk through town. The weather was nice and sunny, as it always is unless the plot calls for it. As they walked, Yuri looked over at Yayoi.]

How are things in your time?

It's pretty nice. There hasn't been too many advances in technology but there's always new shows coming out. And the days seem to be long since we don't actually get attacked every week.

Well, it is only two years. I would be surprised if there were any big differences.

So there aren't too many attacks at the moment?

[pikapikapikarin]

It's been quiet since Fathers Day. [Yayoi looked a little downcast at that.] Wolfrun was... well... very very mean, and I zapped him good for it. He was insulting my dad.

[fightbymoonlight]

I see... That was horrible of him. [Yuri would've done the same to anyone who dares to insult her father. She knows where Yayoi's coming from.

Very tentatively, Yuri pats Yayoi's shoulder.]

[pikapikapikarin]

Mmm. I sometimes feel bad for the Bad End Kingdom. Sometimes they act like kids who don't know any better, sometimes real legitimate threats. I don't think they have any family...

[Yayoi smiles up at Yuri, nodding at her.] Thanks.

I know what you mean. But you mustn't let your guard down. No matter how they act, they're still dangerous.

[Yuri smiles back, a little awkwardly. how do you friendship, help.] It's no problem, really.
