Yayoi was excited. She was going to spend time with one of her friends from the community for what was the first time in a while. And she skipped through the portal, preparing to make the jump to Yuri's world. Or time. Or something at least.

With a glow, she stepped through the book portal, ready to go.

Mmhmm! I love to draw and paint and do other artwork. Watching anime also helps with my creative stuff, but I draw a lot of scenes from life too.

Ah, I see. You'll have to show me some of your drawings when I visit you, then. I'm very curious.

[When they resume walking, they soon reach the river.] Ah, there's one more thing I should show you that's really worth seeing. It's not too far from here.

[pikapikapikarin]

Of course! I'll bring my sketchbook next time so you can look through it.

[She blinks and looks over curiously.] Another thing worth seeing? What is it?

[fightbymoonlight]

I'll hold you to that.

You'll see. [Yuri smiles and continues walking. Eventually, she leads Yayoi to a rather large hill.] It's just up here.

[Once they reach the top, Yayoi will be greeted by tons of flowers spread over the hill and a beautiful view of the town.]

[Crossing over to the top of the hill, Yayoi's expression turned into a wide happy smile as she gasped.] Oh my!

It's so beautiful here! This is the best view I've ever seen before!

It is stunning, isn't it? I love the botanical garden, of course and it holds a lot of precious memories. But there's just something about this view that's incredibly special, wouldn't you say?

I think so! I've seen a lot of scenery but this view is just fabulous. I'm amazed at how pretty your hometown is.

Thank you. I really love it. Like I said before, there's less things to do than in a city, but I think it's an acceptable trade-off.

It is incredible. So gorgeous of a view. You have some pretty places in my town but nothing quite like this.

I look forward to seeing your town.

[Yuri pauses for a moment, taking in the view. A little hesitantly, she speaks.] I'm glad you came to visit.

[pikapikapikarin]

Oh? Well I'm glad I could make your day better. I must admit I was worried that the library couldn't send me here but it did. So that's something, right?

[fightbymoonlight]

I'm still a little surprised it was actually possible. I guess magic is just unpredictable sometimes.

[pikapikapikarin]

I am too. But I'm not going to question it. If it allows me to visit friends, then we'll be able to do this all the time!

[fightbymoonlight]

I guess it doesn't really matter how it works, as long as it does, huh?

[pikapikapikarin]

That's right! And I can come visit you when we want to do so, and pick you up to show you around my time too.

[fightbymoonlight]

Right. It'll have to wait at least a week or two, though. I'll probably be busy with school for a while.

Same with me. The summer break hasn't started yet. We're also getting close to finals.

[fightbymoonlight]

Well, we'll just have to see when we both have time. For now, I think we can both agree this has been an enjoyable visit.

I feel that way as well! This was an incredible visit. Thank you so much.

It was. Thank you as well.

No problem. Maybe next time we can go around my town. I want to show you my school as well. After midterms of course.

[Yuri looks around a bit and then checks her watch.] It's getting a bit late. You should probably head back about now. Shall we walk back to my house?

[pikapikapikarin]

Sure, that'll be nice. And it gives me a good point to return from.

[fightbymoonlight]

I thought as much.

[Yuri turns.] We'd better head back now, or my mother will be home and I'll have to explain why the bookcase is glowing. [She smiles and starts walking back home.]

[pikapikapikarin]

[Yayoi laughs lightly, nodding.] That's true! I'll have to teach you the combination to access the library later when we have time.
