Yayoi was excited. She was going to spend time with one of her friends from the community for what was the first time in a while. And she skipped through the portal, preparing to make the jump to Yuri's world. Or time. Or something at least.

With a glow, she stepped through the book portal, ready to go.

It is incredible. So gorgeous of a view. You have some pretty places in my town but nothing quite like this.

[Yuri pauses for a moment, taking in the view. A little hesitantly, she speaks.] I'm glad you came to visit.

Oh? Well I'm glad I could make your day better. I must admit I was worried that the library couldn't send me here but it did. So that's something, right?

I'm still a little surprised it was actually possible. I guess magic is just unpredictable sometimes.

[pikapikapikarin]

I am too. But I'm not going to question it. If it allows me to visit friends, then we'll be able to do this all the time!

[fightbymoonlight]

I guess it doesn't really matter how it works, as long as it does, huh?

[pikapikapikarin]

That's right! And I can come visit you when we want to do so, and pick you up to show you around my time too.

Right. It'll have to wait at least a week or two, though. I'll probably be busy with school for a while.

Same with me. The summer break hasn't started yet. We're also getting close to finals.

Well, we'll just have to see when we both have time. For now, I think we can both agree this has been an enjoyable visit.

I feel that way as well! This was an incredible visit. Thank you so much.

No problem. Maybe next time we can go around my town. I want to show you my school as well. After midterms of course.

[Yuri looks around a bit and then checks her watch.] It's getting a bit late. You should probably head back about now. Shall we walk back to my house?

[pikapikapikarin]

Sure, that'll be nice. And it gives me a good point to return from.

[fightbymoonlight]

I thought as much.

[Yuri turns.] We'd better head back now, or my mother will be home and I'll have to explain why the bookcase is glowing. [She smiles and starts walking back home.]

[pikapikapikarin]

[Yayoi laughs lightly, nodding.] That's true! I'll have to teach you the combination to access the library later when we have time.

[fightbymoonlight]

Oh? It's accessible from anywhere and by anyone?

[pikapikapikarin]

That's right! A couple of people used it a while ago, though we got a little mad when they were abusing it's privileges.

[fightbymoonlight]

I see. It would be a problem if people just started world-hopping left and right, I suppose.

[The walk back to Yuri's place isn't a long one - they did basically walk a circle around town, after all. Once they're at the apartment building, Yuri leads Yayoi back up the stairs.] It does sound like a useful thing to know, though.

It would. Anyone with a bookcase could access it from where I'm standing.

It is. I'll write down the combo for you.

[Yuri opens the door and holds it open for Yayoi.] Thank you. I really appreciate it.
