Day in Two Parts

[Earlier in the day, Yayoi's up early as she's moving around, the camera focused somewhere. She's stopping by various tables at the local Comiket that day and she is picking up some Heartcatch Manga from various tables.]

Eeee I got Ban-sensei's latest issue!

[She's dancing too to be honest.]


[Later in the day, she's at a different Comiket. Out of curiosity she ported to another world to check the venue and she's being just manhandled by various people taking pictures with the super cute girl that was the "Best Yayoi Cosplayer Ever". She had things piled up including Megahouse Precure Figurines and doujinshi of all kinds. She is GOING TO READ THEM ALL.]

How am I going to navigate home with all of this? I spent way too much...!

[Fortunately people aren't too clustered around Yayoi when Karen probably sees her, but she's so short, Yayoi almost misses Karen's hair over the crowd.]

[Karen hears the voice and hurries over. She looks... sullen?]

Yayoi-san, hello.

Karen-san, are you okay? You look troubled. Was I too selfish in asking for help?

No, no, not at all. It's nothing. --Reika is the name of one of your friends, right?

[SMOOTH, SUBTLE TRANSITION. YAYOI WILL NEVER SUSPECT THESE SUBJECTS ARE RELATED.]

Why yes, Reika Aoki. She's our vice-president back home.

[Fortunately Yayoi is a little clueless at times. Not as bad as Miyuki but still...]

Hmm... [Takes a long moment to decide and shakes her head.] Only a little. From a distance you could be mistaken for one another, but Reika wears her hair differently, as well as you're a lot taller than she is. That, and I think you just carry yourselves differently.

Any resemblance would be superficial.

[Siiiiiigh.] Apparently, I'd make a better her than me.

What? Really? But... but you don't look anything alike! [To Yayoi at least. To fans... well...]

Apparently, I clearly put a lot of work into my "costume," but I could probably "pull off" Reika better than Karen.

... that's the silliest thing I've heard. They're being silly. I should set them straight.
